The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, and I really want to thank them for how they handled our situation. We were fully aware that this was an adults-only hotel when we booked, so that was never an issue for us.
After our first night, we decided that we would prefer to move to another hotel because of the noise. Although our reservation was normally non-refundable, the hotel kindly agreed to help us with a refund. A member of staff personally contacted Booking.com on our behalf and spent around 30–60 minutes trying to resolve everything for us. They even offered us refreshments while we waited.
I genuinely appreciated the effort, patience and hospitality of the staff. They went far beyond what I expected to help us, and I am very grateful for that.
Our room was on the ground floor, and unfortunately we had some noise during the night. A few other guests came back late and were quite loud in the lobby and around the elevator. The receptionist did ask them to be quiet, but unfortunately they did not really listen. Since our room was on the ground floor, we could hear most of it and had difficulty sleeping.
There was also some noise from the nightclub directly in front of the hotel. I think our experience would probably have been very different on a higher floor, so this was mainly an issue with the location of our particular room rather than the hotel itself.
