For an old heritage hotel everything was immaculately clean. When we needed assistance from the staff they were most helpful and courteous. The bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent with great pressure and steaming hot water. We were able to watch the football in the comfortable bar and enjoy a drink. We did not eat dinner there but heard from others that the food was excellent. A great stop over for the local event we were attending.
The price was a bit expensive for the room we had. The advertisement stated there was a flat tv in the room (there was no tv) and it was a private bathroom. The bathroom was a shared bathroom down the hall. Neither was an issue for us but their advertising needs correcting. There was only one towel in the room and a flannel sheet on the bed with no doona or blanket. The staff were very quick to meet our request for another towel and gave us a comfy doona for the bed, so no problems rectifying this.

The new managers were lovely and are really trying to improve the old hotel.
Our booking included breakfast, but we were not informed where or how to access this. We found the breakfast room, but no one was around. There was no butter, bread or milk in the fridge, so we missed out.

The Commercial is an old fashioned Australian Pub it does not have on suites but the showers were clean the owners were really great we were delayed considerably in getting back to the hotels due to us misjudging just how far we had traveled whilst sight seeing on the Wheatbelt Way, they kept the kitchen open for us and the meals left us embarrassed because there was way more than we expected in each serve. Just like pub meals used to be. The Pub is run by a Mother and Father team with a lovely young daughter acting as our waitress. Don't expect a five star hotel but good service and a very friendly publican that could not do enough for us makes it all worth while.
Not much to say here I booked for the Four of us expecting exactly what we got value for money not a polished glass table and poor service which seems to be the norm now.
