Decent

Size and price (in comparison to other Edinburgh properties) 5 bedrooms, 5 double beds, comfortably holds 10. Easy instructions for check in and out. Does the job without being overly fancy. 1 parking space at the property but plenty more free parking spaces on the street around the corner

The surrounding area isn’t the best and it’s a bit out of the centre, but nothing an uber won’t sort out.

We stayed 3 nights and the house was just not cost like the photos represented. It wasn’t clean and had a strange misty

Small Tesco within walking distance

The bus stop was loud, right outside the property, there was a smell in the downstairs room, the attack space had no cover in the ceiling, stains on the couch and curtains and walls, dishwasher didn’t open all the way, hairs on sheets, and only a thin sheet and thin blanket on each bed. The sheets would come off the bed when you slept. The owner did nothing to fix anything.

Disappointing and frustrating

Check in was at 3pm, we arrived at 305pm and the cleaning person was still there. She stated that she thought check in was at 4pm. We had to wait outside with our 3 small children after driving for hours to get there. The cleaning person did not leave until 430. The cleanliness was sub-par. I stepped on a piece of glass on the kitchen floor and cut my foot. There was residue and cup rings on the table. Hair on the kitchen counter. I needed to clean all the surfaces myself prior to use. Beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. Couch and carpet in the living room were heavily stained. Dining room table was broken and lopsided. Garbages at the front of the house were overflowing with trash. Nice backyard but no patio furniture to enjoy it Difficult to identify the building. Google maps and waze brought us to a different spot. When contacting the host, they were quick to respond which we appreciated. They seemed to shift the blame to the cleaning company and only offered an apology. So we asked for a partial refund due to all the issues. They agreed and asked for some photos which I sent. Then the communication ended and I have yet to receive any refund. Luckily we had only booked this rental for 1 night but overall it was a very disappointing stay.

The location was good with tram nearby for easy commute and takeaways

1) shower didn't work 2) no warning about skylights not having blinds ... could have brought eyemasks... came to relax and woken 5am every morning 3) beds disgusting springs digging in on pregnant ladies loll 4) for a house that accommodates 10 people a 4 seater sofa is not ideal.
