Dichtbij station richting Galle, mooie veranda en tuin, vriendelijke en bescheiden eigenaresse (spreekt beperkt Engels) Avond ervoor kun je je wensen voor het ontbijt doorgeven.

I cannot express how exceptional my 2-week stay at Onisula Guesthouse was. A peaceful, unforgettable stay surrounded by nature, warm hospitality, and some of the best food I had in Sri Lanka.
The rooms are clean, with comfortable beds, a powerful overhead fan, and a beautiful view of tropical plants outside. Breakfast every morning was delicious and undoubtedly some of the best food I ate in Sri Lanka.
The private garden was beautiful with lush trees, a comfortable seating area, and a hammock with a fan that truly lets you unwind. I spent many afternoons watching monkeys, mongooses, and colorful birds from the hammock.
The location is perfect: quiet and just off the main road, but walking distance to lively hostels with regular events, great restaurants, and one of the best beaches on the South Coast for surfing at Lazy Left and Lazy Right. There are also many yoga classes within walking distance.
Onisula Guesthouse also offers helpful services that made the stay even better. I used the scooter rental, laundry, and dinner service.
The scooter was in excellent condition, well-maintained, and came with good helmets. It made it easy to explore Ahangama and nearby beaches.
Laundry was quick, clean, and well priced, always returned neatly folded with a pleasant floral scent.
On my last night, I had chicken fried rice in the garden, watching monkeys move through the trees, which was the perfect way to end my stay. Again, excellent quality at a fair price.
By the end of my stay, I not only enjoyed the guesthouse but had also become friends with Samantha and Piyumi, the owners, whom I hope to visit again.

The location, family, the garden!!!! breakfast, room + privacy, but especially the hospitality of the amazing hosts! They are kind, patient, flexible and always ready to find a solution that works.
