Firstly, the staff were incredibly helpful and considerate, the place is spotlessly clean too. Room itself was nearly new and everything worked very well.
This is a homestay, and the house is still a work in progress. The room was nice, but the rest was quite unfinished and also their home, so it wasn't as private as I'd have preferred.
The house is also quite tucked away from everything, and right next to the train tracks, where the first train comes past at 5.10am, and it will definitely wake you.
The place has a lot of potential, however at this stage, I don't think it's worth the money, as I stayed in a place in Mirissa Beach where I rated it 10/10 and it was $13 cheaper per night.
I think they need to sort a few things out before inviting guests. For a night though, it's okay.

I cannot recommend Crystal Pearl Villa enough. We had a fantastic 10/10 experience here. The villa is recently renovated and feels very modern and clean. The room was large with great AC and a comfortable bed, and having a small kitchen area.
The location is perfect if you want to be close to the Weligama surf break (about a 5-10 minute walk) but away from the noise of the main road.The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. If you are looking for a clean, quiet, and affordable place to stay in Weligama, this is it.
