Superb facilities. Large comfortable room, great tennis court, very grand communal spaces and hot tub very clean. Great shower, comfy bed, good smart TV. Also wonderful grounds to explore.
Our kitchenette was tiny, others looked a bit bigger though. It was not possible to cook a meal unless just air fryer used. There is just no space to do it.
Communication before arrival was terrible. After arrival it was hit and miss with no one on reception ( though self catering so a bit of a mixed model ) If a larger communal kitchen was available this would make a big difference.

This property has everything you could wish for. Beautiful location with spectacular views, comfortable and beautifully decorated large rooms and bathrooms with kitchen areas. The whole house is beautifully put together. There was a lot to do: swimming pool, hot tub, pool table, tennis court and ping pong table. Beautiful walk to Shanklin and Ventnor. Owners and staff so friendly.

The whole house is splendid, out of time and very interesting. The views are beautiful. The location is unusual and historic, and the staff very helpful.
The house does NOT have direct access to beach and is NOT on beachfront, as advertised on Google and Booking.com. The enormous task of renovation was only completed this year so there is much to learn about making luxurious guest rooms much more user-friendly and comfortable. Needed: more and softer lighting, as room very dark and ceiling lights are too harsh; duvet is cheap synthetic and sweaty; no rack for suitcase; no place in bathroom to sit or put toiletries; no non-slip bath mat by step next to bath; bathroom curtain falls off wall; small hard uncomfortable chairs with no sea view; kitchen plate rack too high for average height person; room door lock very tricky; heat and cool dial not understandable.

I really liked the unique feel of the place. I loved the little touches like providing my baby with a bath towel. Very peaceful stay, the room was perfect for me my partner and our baby.
