SUMMARY
Tonquin Beach House is your West Coast escape, a two-bedroom haven perched near Tonquin Beach and Tonquin Trails, just minutes from downtown Tofino. Perfect for adventurous couples or a group of friends, this open-concept retreat comfortably hosts up to 6 guests. The bright master features a king bed and updated ensuite; the second bedroom offers a queen bed. A spacious living area with a pull-out couch, two fireplaces, and a fully stocked kitchen make this an ideal home base for exploring beaches, tide pools, and sunsets.
LIVING ROOM + DINING
Bright, spacious living room with two seating areas and a second wood-burning fireplace. The dining space flows into the living area for seamless socializing. A queen-size pull-out sofa provides additional sleeping arrangements. Large windows invite forest views and natural light, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
KITCHEN
Fully stocked with cooking utensils and dishes to suit any getaway. Wood-burning ambiance enhances dining experiences, while a modern setup supports weekend cooking adventures. Please note wood is not provided.
COFFEE + TEA: We provide a starter supply of fresh locally roasted beans by Foggy Bean in Ucluelet. There is a drip coffee maker with filters. Assorted organic tea from Ucluelet Thay Tea.
SLEEPING - 2 bedrooms
Primary Bedroom: King bed, bright and airy with a stand-up desk for remote work.
Second Bedroom: Queen bed.
Living Room: Queen-size pull-out couch for two additional guests.
BATHROOMS - 2
Two newly renovated bathrooms featuring modern fixtures and slate tiling. Primary bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower and all necessary amenities. The guest bathroom has a tub and laundry facilities. Both bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner and hand soap (refillable of course!).
OUTDOORS
Large deck with BBQ and patio table; cedar beams and forest views creating a tranquil outdoor retreat. Steps to Tonquin Beach and nearby tidal pools.

PARKING & ACCESS
Upper-level access; carport access for guests. Note: Tofino by-law requires on-site on-site tenant presence; you will share the driveway with the on-site caretaker.
GUEST ACCESS
Access to the entire upper level of the house and the carport. A long term rental suite below houses an on-site caretaker; guests share the driveway with the tenant.

This is perfect for car free exploring downtown; in the summer months it is often very hard to find parking, so we very much recommend taking advantage of using the MUP (multi use path) and walking, biking, e-bike or grabbing the Free Shuttle that runs in the Summer months to the beaches.
INTERACTION
Tonquin Beach House is designed for independent check-in. Guests receive a detailed Welcome Guide before arrival, and Blue Crush Vacation Rentals is available by message if you have any questions during your stay. Long-term tenants reside in a separate home on the property and fully respect your privacy.

Tree-lined streets, cedar accents, and metres of forest air create a serene backdrop for your getaway. Wildlife sightings, quiet sidewalks, and proximity to family-friendly spaces make it ideal for both couples and groups seeking a relaxed coastal vibe with modern comforts.
NEARBY TONQUIN AREA
A short walk leads you to the Tonquin region, where nature takes center stage. Tonquin Beach and Tonquin Trail offer stunning coastline views, tide pools at low tide, and dramatic west-coast sunsets. The Tonquin area is a gateway to seaside exploration, with accessible beach access, rocky shoreline panoramas, and gentle paths through coastal forests. It’s perfect for shoreline strolls, wildlife spotting, and picture-perfect moments at golden hour. After a day outdoors, return to the home’s cozy interiors and unwind on the deck as you reflect on your west coast adventure.
GETTING AROUND TOFINO:
Getting around Tofino is part of the adventure! The scenic Multi-Use Path (MUP) runs through town and is perfect for walking, biking, jogging, or strolling.
PUBLIC TRANSIT:
Hop on the West Coast Transit bus for easy travel between Tofino and Ucluelet (and stops along the West Coast). It runs seven days a week with frequent service—and you can find routes, maps, and the full schedule here online.
Other easy options include:
• Bike & e-bike rentals for cruising town and trails
• Rideshare via the Coastal Rides app and Tofino Taxi (limited drivers)
• Pre-arranged private shuttles (Tiki Bus, Pacific Rim Navigators) for larger groups
• Rental cars, including Budget and EVO (pre-arranged airport pickup)
BOOKING POLICIES:
- Not pet friendly
- 6 Maximum of guests; minimum age to book is 25
- Tenants live on site in a separate residence, as per District of Tofino bylaw and Province of BC
- Cleaning fee plus GST, PST, and MRDT apply to all bookings
- Peak summer season (June 15 – Sept 15) requires a 3-night minimum; stays must be back-to-back to prevent gaps. If a single-night gap occurs, guests may be contacted to adjust reservations
- Mid-season and holiday rates apply on winter long weekends and Christmas
- A 3-night minimum stay applies on all Canadian statutory holidays
- Discounts of 5–10% may be available for stays of 7+ nights (excluding peak season); contact us to inquire
- Cancellations made more than 30 days before arrival receive a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee plus taxes; cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable
- A damage deposit of $300 is held (not charged) at check-in for direct, VRBO, and Booking .com reservations and released within five business days after checkout, pending no damage.

House Rules:
- No pets
- Minimum age requirement to book is 25
- Park in front of the car port. The downstairs tenant needs to be able to get out of her spot.
- Quiet time is 10pm-8am. This is not a party house.
- Maximum 6 people per Tofino Bylaw
- Only registered guests on property
- No smoking on deck or in the unit.
- Glitter is not allowed, as it is extremely difficult to remove and may result in additional cleaning fees.
