The Bothy is very cleverly designed - a bit like the Tardis, it never feels cramped although there is just the one room, with kitchenette and shower room. I loved the very good electric shower sunken at the end of the bathroom; I loved the well thought out kitchen with everything I needed, (unless I wanted to do a Sunday roast. 🤪)
The bed was comfortable, and a small table is provided for meals or work. Although I was there in the height of summer, and was able to enjoy a drink on the bench outside in the evening sun, I could see good radiators for cooler months.
Ideal for one or two people for a short stay in this undiscovered gem of a tourist area. Do not miss the Great Tapestry of Scotland - Traquair - the Border Abbeys...
The beautiful, slightly wild garden was a real joy.
I didn't go a bundle on the no-doubt-trendy waffle towels - but they did the job 🤣

Location, close to train station for Edinbrugh. Quiet area, good cafe.
Nice size bedroom, comfy bed, t.v
T.V wasn't working, kept hitting my head on one of the box shelves. Wood lice in the shower.
