We were there for the annual Mackinaw Bridge walk. The hotel was very close to the starting point. The staff was friendly and helpful. When they learned how early we would be leaving for the walk they prepared a sack breakfast for us the night before. They gave helpful information about restaurants and attractions in the area and were quick to help with any of the essentials we may have forgotten to pack. The hotel was across from a park, and the lake was within walking distance.
Only one complaint, the shower curtain gapped allowing water to go all over the floor.

It was clean but definitely is in need of upgrade and have never stayed in a hotel that had no one at front desk after 11:00 p.m.
