I highly recommend Max Rooms. The staff is very kind, communicative and attentive- they really care about your experience! The house keeping staff keep the premises very clean. I was especially impressed with the freshness if the linens and the comfortable bedding. If there were any issues, it was easy to get in touch with the owner through WhatsApp. Both of the restaurants downstairs are delicious- Caris and Katherine are both sweet and delightful. If I ever return to the area, I will definitely stay here again.

MaxRooms is nicely located, less than 5 minutes walk from the market and an ATM.
The staff were really helpful and the food at the restaurant downstairs was really good and budget friendly.
The room was dated but it was clean, had hot water, and good internet.
All in all, you get great value for what you are paying for.
I would stay again at MaxRooms and from San Ignacio, you can visit Cahal Pech, Xunantunich, Baracol, the ATM and Barton creek caves.
