That's what a guest said about Onyx Ridge, our modern cabin in the woods outside Ellijay. Your mornings start on our porch swing bed; your evenings move to the spa deck, sauna warming, hot tub steaming, fire pit glowing under string lights. Sleeps six across two king rooms and a queen. Cornhole and horseshoes on our grounds, Carters Lake 2 miles out, downtown Ellijay 10.

A few minutes from Carters Lake and the Tumbling Waters trailhead, our cabin was built for girls' trips, family weekends, and couples who came to slow down. The spa deck holds a cedar sauna and a covered hot tub, and the fire pit sits out front under string lights. A morning on the trail and an evening in the sauna make an easy day of it.

The great room brings the kitchen, dining table, and living room together under a vaulted wood ceiling, with a stone fireplace at the center. The first bedroom is the primary, a king under a vaulted ceiling of its own; the second holds a king, and the third a queen. Six guests, three real beds, three doors that close.

The back deck runs the length of our home, set up for evenings outside with a gas grill, dining for six, an outdoor fireplace, and a mounted TV for the game while dinner cooks. Below, the covered hot tub and cedar sauna face straight into the trees. Out front, the fire pit sits in its own clearing under string lights, and the porch holds a swinging bed and an egg chair that catch the sunset.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests have full use of our cabin, both the front and back decks, and the entire outdoor property, including the hot tub, cedar sauna, and fire pit for the length of the stay. Self check-in with a smart lock, code sent before arrival. The Ridgeway boat ramp at Carters Lake is 2 miles away, with the Tumbling Waters trailhead close by.

GOOD TO KNOW
•Two exterior security cameras for property security, one on the front porch, one overlooking the back deck stairs. No interior cameras.
•Hot tub and sauna are for guests 18 and older unless supervised by an adult.
•Indoor fireplace is in service October through March; the outdoor fireplace runs year-round.
•The road in is fully paved but curvy and hilly, so take it slow in winter.
•Our cabin is on a septic system, so please flush only toilet paper.
•Cleaned and sanitized between every stay, with the hot tub drained and refilled and the sauna sanitized before you arrive.
