Fantastic stay at Gingersnap Cottage, perfect for exploring the Lakes

Gingersnap cottage is in a fantastic location with short walking distance to Ambleside town centre, really nice place and well curated, plenty of space for a long weekend away. Customer service were quick to help and easy to contact

Perhaps some more shower toiletries and a folder with instructions in on the property. Other than that, perfect :)

Beautiful cottage just a short walk from the shops. Lovely walks on the doorstep. Very friendly owners. The cottage was clean and very comfortable, the log fire was perfect especially on the rainy days

Not for us.

It was very clean and nice kitchen and living area were all okay.

The bed was awful, mattress was cheap and springy, sagged in the middle as got no sleep. We booked 3 nights and left after 1 to go and stay elsewhere. The garden hadn’t been looked after, there were weeds everywhere, it wasn’t pleasant at all.
