About this house rental
Small, renovated, private bedroom bathroom with shower in front of bus stop. Located 15 min bus ride to downtown. Suitable for 1 or 2 people (shared bed).
NO KITCHEN access, but there is a fridge & microwave. It can get very LOUD due to traffic - especially when windows are open.
We recommend bringing earplugs if this is a concern.
No keys to lose/return! You can lock/unlock the front door using a virtual key code access issued to you after 3 PM (you can also take a physical set of keys)
The space
It is facing a noisy street (Granville), but as long as you don't open windows its not too bad.

You cannot access upstairs or the kitchen. However, a fridge is provided for your convenience and you may eat in the room. You can also access the laundry room as needed. There is a lock on your room door, but please don’t lock it from the outside unless you take the physical keys.
During your stay
You will have a lock on the door for your room and you can use the code provided to lock the front door.
IMPORTANT CHECK-IN INFO: A 6 digit code unique to you will be sent to you. You can use it to unlock the front door as shown here:

You get dropped off in back (back alley by uber) and the person before us didn't know they needed to leave at 11am. Checkin was good, just littleconfusing.

This was a very convenient location with a bus stop right outside. Because it is on a busy street, there was a lot of traffic noise, but I wore ear plugs to sleep. The room was incredibly hot (27 degrees) and opening the windows was not enough. There were also no screens on the windows so I ended up sharing the room with an a couple of ants, a spider, and a crane fly. As others have mentioned, the walls etc are thin so you can hear others in the house. Dedicated parking space in the back, and good communication by the host. Great bang for buck.

Overall, a great spot. It was clean. Communication with the host was amazing. Cheap and fast transit literally right outside, and many stores/restaurants in walking distance.
The only two things I would have liked to know ahead of time…although I likely still would have stayed… there is no A/C, and it was quite warm. You can open windows, but there is a lot of road noise. I found that relaxing, but I know it bothers some. The walls are paper thin. The neighbors woke me up at like 1 or 2 am. Again, not dealbreakers for me, but I felt it was worth mentioning.
Overall I would stay again, and enjoyed my experience and the area it is in.
