Found Shetlanders very friendly.
Postcode not helpful - just for the Area not the specific house. Being Senior Citizens unable to use the Map they sent - so got "lost" . After asking several people, eventually found the house.
The Walk up to the view at Herma-ness is only for the very fit. We only managed 3/4 of the way and turned back. Nice walk but uphill and on a Boardwalk most of the way.

Very cosy, clean and comfortable.
Nothing bad really except that it is shown on Google maps and Booking as being in the same street as the Baltasound Hotel, but it is actually very far away if you don’t drive and have to rely on your feet to carry you around (50 mn walk to the village).

It was like a wee self-contained flat with four rooms, not really a studio. A bedroom, a wee sitting and dining room, bathroom (with bath shower) and a kitchen area. It was rather welcoming. You can park right outside. Room on ground floor. We didn’t meet the hosts and were able to come and go as we pleased.
The approach to the property is interesting with lots of discarded agricultural machinery which might be off putting to some but the place itself is so nice

Newly fitted bathroom which was very clean
Accessible day and night
Communication was easy with owners when information was requested
Location was easy to get to and from the places we wanted to visit

Lack of window blind in bathroom
Security of doors and windows.
Windows needed replacing as they were perpetually steamed up/Condensed
