Spaciousness of the home (we were a party of 4), very comfortable seating areas in kitchen, sun room, and living room. Recently updated. Well equipped kitchen. Very private and quiet property. Close proximity to golf courses; Royal Dornock-10 minutes, Golspie-8 minutes, Brora-17 minutes. Two large grocery stores in Dornock. For golfers: We played Royal Dornoch (clear favorite amongst group), Golspie was second (don't skip), Nairn third, Brora 4
Bed, pillows, and comforter were very comfortable, but...I like my room on the cool side. I could not open a window as there were no screens to keep the critters out-a surprising number of bugs, flys around the property (it is a working farm) which kept my room warmer than ideal. Everything else was fantastic.

The location was fantastic and the proximity to Dornoch and other surrounding towns and villages meant there were plenty places to visit within a 30 minute radius. The farmhouse sits almost on the edge of Loch Fleet, the views at sunrise and sunset were uninterrupted and stunning. The enclosed rear garden was a sun trap and a real bonus for the dogs, safe and secure. The house is finished to a very high standard and there was nothing we could fault in honesty. A minor issue with a door handle was remedied and brought to our attention before we checked in, can't ask for more than that. Located far enough away from the main road, but close enough to join in a matter of seconds, there was no traffic noise evident. A well equipped kitchen with every appliance easy to operate, including a washer/drier which came in very handy!! A great woodland walk with the dogs at Skelbo, which was literally no more than 2 minutes away in the car, was a welcome bonus. There were only 3 of us plus 2 small dogs, so more than enough space, but I would say the farmhouse could comfortably accommodate 6-8 adults. We've already discussed when we'll be back, and I imagine this place will be super popular once word gets out.
Not a "dislike", rather a suggestion - a small table and chairs on the paved area outside the sunroom might have been a nice touch to catch the morning sun.
