Absolute rip off

The house was beautiful, the location was fine. Very clean .

So RUDE. After taxes and exchange rate, we paid $693 for a room for my father-in-law to stay. We had originally planned to stay there with him, but the room was much smaller than expected. That was fine, we adjusted. I spoke with staff beforehand and explained the purpose of the booking: we had brought my partner's father to visit his brother, as they hadn't seen each other in years. We wanted space to visit together. This was all discussed prior to renting. My specific question about visitors went unanswered but was acknowledged, and since we'd given the names of all visiting guests in advance as requested, I assumed it wasn't an issue. Especially since the three of us weren't even staying the night and I still paid for three ppl. We were simply visiting in the common area before leaving, not breaking any rules, yet staff approached us and tried to kick us out. First I was told the cutoff was 11:00 p.m., then he later claimed quiet time started at 9:00 p.m. completely contradicting himself. It honestly felt like they took one look at my family and decided we weren't welcome. Their behavior was so offensive that I didn't feel comfortable leaving my father-in-law there, so we checked out early and took him elsewhere.When I followed up afterward, I received robotic responses: "I'm sorry you felt that way" and being told I was upset about the rules. I wasn't offended by the rules I had agreed to I was offended by the lying and the judgment we received. The staff continued to reply In a robotic and passive aggressive manner. Absolutely unacceptable treatment, especially given what we paid....
