The supportive staff.
The drinking water is free.
Hot water is always available.
There’s a washing machine.
The restaurant next door is good.
Firstly , the above picture doesn’t reflect my room. My room on 4th floor is very small. It’s too small so shouldn’t be rented as an independent unit. My room is smaller than the 1/4 size of the room in the picture but rent for the same price.
Secondly, there were too many bugs, saw bugs in my bedroom and in the bathroom. For that price, the rooms should be kept in better condition. All kinds of bugs. The bug killer spray that was used is toxic. And that has caused me headaches for many days.
Thirdly, the fridge wasn’t working properly. 1st time the fridge was freezing cold. Eight eggs in the fridge has been frozen to be broken and went bad. The staff came to adjust the fridge control. 2nd time the fridge wasn’t cold enough. Two containers of yogurt went bad because the temperature was too high. I had to throw them away.
Last but not least, one of their staff came over in the morning and left a very strong smell of Marijuana in the hallway. It’s unbearable. I have asked the host but received no reply. I guess there’s nothing that she could do about it.
I heard that the host family has just started to rent the units out and give a try. I’m hoping that they can improve.
Btw, the units are too close to the main street. When I used the range hood, the air pollution in the driveway would be sucked into my room. Another fellow renter complained that the traffic noise was too loud.
