OMG I was this close to losing my mind because my business trip was coming up and I still couldn’t find a place to stay in Cambodia. I basically went all in on Talent Residence a brand new place, barely any reviews, and well… photos online are always nice anyway right 😅 I went in thinking okay, if it’s like 6/10 compared to the photos, I’m good.
I arrived around 11PM and the receptionist was there to welcome me and show me to my room, super friendly and really helpful. Alright, side note over, here’s the main part:
The rooms are spacious. I booked 3 rooms: 2 standard and 1 deluxe. Everything was great. They even provided 2 extra fans and I almost cried because I’m the type who sleeps with both AC and a fan on for better airflow 😂 And yes, one fan for each bed. The rooms were clean and fully equipped, honestly for the price I paid, I have nothing to complain about.
I didn’t expect much to be honest. I stayed in one block while the breakfast area was in another, but getting there was actually pretty nice, there’s a football field, tennis court, swimming pool, and a bunch of other facilities along the way. And from what I asked, most of these are free to use, which is a big plus.
Once I got to the breakfast area, it was totally worth it. For under $10, you get a pretty complete meal — drinks, sides, everything was more than decent. I’m Asian so I went for the Asian menu, and the seasoning/flavor was actually really good. Overall, the only downside is that it’s a bit of a walk to get there, but everything else was great 👍
Staff: This is honestly my favorite part. If I could rate the people here, I’d give them 100/10. I’m quite open-minded, and I’ve heard people say Cambodians aren’t very friendly to Vietnamese. I don’t know if being friendly is just part of their job or not and honestly, I don’t really care. Every time I needed help or asked for anything, at any time of the day, they never said no.
The only thing is I’m not really a bathtub person, I wish the shower area was a bit more spacious. (hard right? haha) Also, the step up to the bathtub is quite slippery, might be good to make it safer or add something anti-slip. Oh and the toilet doesn’t have a lock, so that felt a bit awkward haha.

Very clean quiet and comfortable accommodation. The staff provided exceptional service and cared about their guests. The breakfast and hotel food (room service and restaurant) was always well prepared and fresh. We had a very restful and relaxing stay. The pools were very clean and relaxing and the dining/resturant area is open and peaceful. There's beautiful garden settings. The hotel is a little way out of town (from Phnom Penh attractions) which was not at all a problem for us as we wanted a quiet restful week and the hotel staff are more than happy to arrange transport at any time. There's also plenty of tuktuks on the street, which takes 1 minute to flag down so it's very easy to get into town and local attractions. There was not a great deal of food options close by either but the hotel provided very reasonably priced meals so it was not needed. The accommodation is set off the road making it very quiet and peaceful but it is over the road from reception, the resturant and one of the pools and lounge areas. This was not a problem for us but worth knowing. We had a beautiful quiet week here and a much needed rest. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
