Romeo’s Retreat has an excellent central location; Shakespeare’s birthplace was literally round the corner in the next street and the theatre just a ten minute walk away. We liked the large main bedroom and well equipped open-plan lounge and kitchen. The flat has a comfortable and welcoming feel. Although you can’t park outside this flat, a parking space is available in nearby streets. Before and during the stay we had excellent communication from Harry the host. He promptly replied to any of our queries. Great value for money in a popular tourist area. We would stay here again.
We did have a few issues with the key box but maybe that was just us! The stairs up to this first floor flat are quite steep and wouldn’t suit someone with mobility problems.

Lovely, roomy, comfortable 1st floor apartment in a great central location. Harry was very helpful throughout and having a car parking permit during the stay was fantastic. We didn't have any issues parking and would definitely stay again.
If you're a light sleeper ear plugs are handy as you can hear people walking about in the apartment above and although the location is quiet in the evening and overnight the road sweeper comes around early!

Location was superb as was communication from Harry. Good value for money.
Not really dislikes but few things could do with sprucing up. That said I would definitely stay again.

Location, bed was relatively comfortable
Need new cleaners, floors dirty, toilet not clean and windowsill filthy, kitchen skirting board broken and dirty kitchen roll behind, microwave filthy with left over food left in there, washing machine stunk with old stagnant water in the drum, items from previous guests left in dishwasher, freezer dirty. Coffee table stained. (Pictures taken). Battery in smoke detector needs changing also fyi, beeping with low battery. This was a nice occasion and feel really let down by the state of the property, needs a deep clean and probably a refresh.
