Trinity House Hotel is a reasonably priced self-service hotel located between Blackhorse Road, Walthamstow High Street and St James, making it excellently placed when visiting Walthamstow, or a good way to get into London on the Victoria Line or Overground. The rooms are fairly clean, with somewhat simple facilities that could do with a little upkeep, and fairly quiet, despite being on a major road.
We booked the hotel a few weeks before, and didn't hear anything from the owners until I messaged the day we were due to arrive, confirming that they did have free on-site parking. We only received details on the fact that it is a self-service hotel after we checked in, which made the whole process somewhat confusing; when we got there, we had to call a number on a sign on the front door, and had a woman say that she couldn't find our booking. I ended up having to send a copy of our booking details before then getting the codes for the front door and our room door. Seeing as we had a toddler who had just been on a two hour car ride and was quite loud, this made the whole process quite difficult, and I feel that this could have been organised better to ensure that we could quickly and easily check in. Once we were in, we managed to get ourselves sorted out, and found our stay to be sufficient, but I do feel that the whole experience, along with the tired nature of the room facilities, made our stay tolerable, but not exemplary.

Feels like a budget hotel with heart. I stayed in the middle of a heatwave and the room had a fan in it, which I felt like they put there to make things a little nicer for the guest. I'd brought my own silk sheet because I knew it would be hot in the room and when they cleaned the room they also made the bed using my sheet instead of their linnen.
It's the small things sometimes.
The room itself is a good size for one although the bed isn't suitable for people over 1.90 cm. The refrigerator was a bit noisy at night.

The room was fairly comfortable, and also had aircon, important during a heatwave. Check in was easy and it has a three parking slots, which worked well for us.
Some details could be better, like the bedding didn't properly fit the bed and the pillows were really thin. The room could technically fit three people, but it was just about comfortable for two.
