Disappointed & wouldn't recommend

Location is only selling point

Advertised patio/ balcony or terrace- only outside space was dirty fire escape with stairs leading up . Windows, doors etc leading to fire escape & decking boards dirty and not been cleaned in a long time. Advertised as 2 bedroom property- was 1 bedroom with sofa bed with small stains and no bedding etc was left out for. No air con despite advertising. Stains on sofa and on cushions on bed. Broken blinds in bedroom - people upstairs could see in and when eventually got blinds down no way to put them back up as would need manually rolled and we weren't tall enough. Towels could do with replacing- rough, cheap etc. No tea towels, kitchen roll at all & limited cheap toilet roll - i had to buy kitchen roll, toilet roll etc and left what i purchased in property. No cooking utensils at all - some unmatched cutlery & 1 sharp knife was total in apt. 2 x old scratched pots- no other pans, utensils or cookware to use microwave No tea, coffee, sugar, salt - i bought and left in property. Tea/ coffee maker advertised but not there - not even basic provisions. Floors dirty (see sock photo after just few hours in place - we did not wear shoes at all inside as a courtesy). Shelves, corners etc all dusty/ dirty. Small thing but clock not set & batteries dead. Lamps with no light bulbs so useless. Apartment above making loud noise during whole stay 24/7- music, voices, stamping about, shouting etc Broken shower tray, rust & dirt along floors, tiles, walls, shower door, sink, toilet. Issue with drains and smell from toilet. Limited glasses- wine or large and not matching - i bought & left new glasses Some old, unsafe looking sockets throughout property- didn't take normal plugs in those so not sure what for. Awkward narrow staircase to navigate with luggage etc - for accessibility reasons people need to be aware of this. Despite property being advertised as pet friendly, owner seemed to not be very happy re 4.

Lack of response from host. Initially sent incorrect entry details, called host and provided correct information. Problems with the shower the following morning so tried to contact him repeatedly by telephone and through Booking.com that day and the next (our final) day, but no response. Found this extremely frustrating.

Amazing experience

The apartment was spotless in a great area close to public transport. The landlords were amazing, extremely friendly and even let us stay a bit longer during check out so that we didn't have to rush out in the rain.
