Salt air and the sound of the Pacific greet you the moment you arrive - this is oceanfront living at its most immediate, with the shoreline of St. Ann`s Beach just steps below and unobstructed ocean views stretching out in front of you. Two private decks frame your days: mornings with coffee and the coastal horizon, evenings with the fire pit glowing and the surf as your soundtrack. A 10-minute stroll puts you in the middle of downtown Laguna Beach, but once you`re settled in here, you may not want to leave.
Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms sleep up to 6 guests in comfort. The primary bedroom features a king bed, a private en suite bath, a 55` TV, a sitting couch, and direct access to the deck with lounge seating and a fire pit - your own private retreat within the retreat. The second bedroom also offers a king bed with its own en suite full bath. The third bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and a 55` TV. Throughout, you`ll find bed linens, extra pillows and blankets, and room-darkening shades to help you rest well.
Living spaces
The living room is set up for gathering - a leather couch, additional seating, a dining table for six, and a 75` TV with premium cable anchor the space. Central air conditioning, central heating, a ceiling fan, and a gas indoor fireplace mean you`re comfortable whatever the weather. A dedicated workspace in a common area, along with WiFi and an Ethernet connection, keeps you connected when you need to be.
Outdoor living
The two private decks are where this home truly comes alive in summer. The main deck off the living room is set up for alfresco dining, with a gas BBQ grill, a dining table, and sweeping ocean views. The primary bedroom deck offers a more relaxed atmosphere - lounge seating and a fire pit for winding down after a day at the beach. Beach stairs lead directly down to St. Ann`s Beach, and beach essentials - including beach towels, an umbrella, a beach blanket, and snorkeling gear - are provided so you can head straight to the water.
Kitchen & dining
The full kitchen is well-equipped for cooking in: refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, toaster, blender, and a full set of cooking basics. Wine glasses, baking sheets, and barbecue utensils round out the setup. A dining table indoors and an outdoor dining area on the deck give you options for where to sit down to eat.
Bathrooms
Three full bathrooms serve the home, two of which are en suite. Expect the essentials covered: bathtub, hot water, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, hair dryer, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach.

In-unit washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, hangers, and clothing storage - walk-in closet, closet, and dresser - take care of the practical side of longer stays. Board games and a Pack `n Play/travel crib (available on request) are on hand for families. The home has a private entrance, and safety features include exterior security cameras on the property, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit.
Parking & getting around
Two private parking spaces are included - one garage spot suited for a compact to midsize car, and one tandem driveway space - along with free street parking. Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 11 AM. Downtown Laguna Beach, shops, restaurants, and a Ralphs grocery store are all within a 10-minute walk.
IMPORTANT HOUSE RULES:
No smoking is allowed inside or outside. No exceptions. Laguna Beach has a smoke-free ordinance banning smoking in all public places. Violations will result in additional fees.
No pets allowed, except approved ADA service animals.
Parking is limited to two vehicles.
Guests must be 25 years or older to book.
This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is best suited for quieter groups. The rental agreement includes a strict no-tolerance policy for excessive noise, occupancy, or parties. Violations may result in the forfeiture of deposits or eviction.
The cancellation policy is strictly enforced.

Very nice house we loved our stay. Perfect location. We walked everywhere. I did buy extra cleaning supplies, including a mop, which I left for the next renters. There was a slight problem with tiny moths downstairs.

View amazing. Very dated property with deferred maintenance. No amenities, no wash cloths or guest towels and only one bath towel per guest. Coffer maker was from the 1980s. A lot of money for what you actually get. The pictures on line are not even close to what the property actually looks like.

The good parts up front: This rental could not be in a better location if you are visiting Laguna Beach. You can basically walk anywhere, and the parking spot, though difficult to navigate if you have a large vehicle, is nice to have given the difficulty with parking in town. The rental also comes with plenty of towels, which are necessary, more on that below.
Now for the not so good: the place is old, beat up, and generally not well cleaned. Ironically, there are little cards all over the place that say something like "we cleaned even under here," but in many cases the dust and sand visibly present in those locations was a little startling. The furniture is falling apart in some places, and the general disrepair of the place leave it looking FAR less swanky and beautiful then the pictures would lead you to believe.
The ceilings are also VERY low, so if you're six foot or taller you really need to watch your head.
The most disappointing part is the listing claims the place sleeps 8. But even with the most generous accounting for bed and couch space, you can MAYBE get seven adults.
The most frustrating was the complete lack of thought for how to clean off sand from your body after you leave the beach. There is no outdoor shower, and the only source of running water is located upstream from the front entrance. There is only a little hose provided, which means every time you return from the beach you're washing off your body and feet in front of the door where the water pools and literally floods the entire area around the front door.
I spent more time vacuuming up sand in this house then I do vacuuming my own home. There was sand everywhere, which I realize may be expected when you're living near the beach, but this was excessive. If it weren't for the large stockpile of towels (to use as door mats), we would have brought the entire beach back to the house because we had no way of reasonably washing it off.
Overall, I would rent this place again, but only if the price was half of what we paid. It is simply too expensive when all that you're really getting for the price is the location to town. I would far prefer to spend that much money on a place up the hill a way and just find parking when we go to the beach.
With that said, with some simple renovations, the addition of a lengthy hose, and an accurate accounting for space (not to mention accurate photos), this place could be worth the price we paid.
