We had a pleasant stay at the hotel Oriente. It is very well located and closed to the main attractions (walking distance from the Colliseum but there is also a metro not far from the hotel that is onty two stations from the Colliseum and a few stations from the Pantheon, Fountain of Trevi or the Vatican). You can also take the train from the hotel and will only one change to get to the Fumiciano airport so it was pretty convenient and saved us money from taking the taxi.
The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is located on two floors of a building which seems old but the hotels rooms are clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast is included but do not expect a buffet style. It is served by the staff and not a lot of variety, mainly coffee/tea or hot chocolate and pastries. No fruits, or cereal or milk. But it was not a problem for us as it was enough to get us started for the day and we got some fruits at a supermarket just next to the hotel. I would definitely go back to this hotel if I get to come to Rome again.
