From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, the team there was exceptional. Shoutout to Jennifer from the lounge who was super busy but gave us her undivided attention. It was super busy due to a line dance party going on at the patio. She was great!!

The only complaint would be they didn’t have nearly enough luggage carts. We asked several times at different times and never was able to get one.

Pros: Great service; comfortable beds; clean rooms; great breakfast; nice pool and spa; fantastic playground across the street for kids; pretty quiet considering it’s a family and dog friendly hotel.
Cons:
The design and planning of the public access restroom in the lobby is positively awful. Needs a complete redesign with less PC artsy fluff and more utility for guests and their families. Very disappointed in Marriott for letting PC bologna get in the way of basic amenities.
Lastly, we stayed in room 269 this time, which was much less pleasant because it was facing the loading dock of the Costco which wouldn’t have mattered except the noise from deliveries in the early morning was very apparent. Will request the 4th floor next trip. Overall still the best hotel experience in Monterey for families. Just please fix that Godawful lobby restroom Marriott.
