Very central location in a quiet neighbourhood on a residential street, short walk to Papa Figo restaurant, clean and modern inside, free airport pick up is a bonus.
Breakfast could have had more options.

A minha estadia de 7 noites no Vila Joya Boutique Hotel STP foi excelente. O pessoal foi sempre muito simpático, competente e disponível, criando um ambiente acolhedor durante toda a semana. Tudo estava muito limpo, desde o quarto às áreas comuns.
A localização é muito calma, ideal para descansar, e ao mesmo tempo com bons restaurantes e sítios interessantes a curta distância. Os empregados da receção foram incansáveis na simpatia e deram‑me sempre toda a informação necessária para me orientar na cidade.
A gerente, Senhora Liket, teve ainda a amabilidade de falar comigo pessoalmente para confirmar se estava tudo bem e se eu precisava de alguma coisa — um gesto que demonstra atenção genuína ao hóspede.
Todos os equipamentos funcionaram perfeitamente: ar condicionado, frigorífico, água quente e fria. Estes detalhes tornaram a minha estadia super agradável.
Recomendo vivamente o Vila Joya Boutique Hotel STP e, se voltar a São Tomé, ficarei novamente aqui sem hesitar.
Ao pequeno almoço esperava mais frutos locais.

A highly positive experience on a work-related trip to S. Tomé. This relatively small hotel (really a villa, as in its name) is very well located in a relatively calm neighborhood close to the center (but without all the noise and agitation). Although it doesn't have lunch&dine facilities (only breakfast), it is very close to many excellent restaurants (Papa-Figo, Petiscos da Vilma, Parque Popular, Carambola, Pico Mocambo, etc.) and next door to Moxinhos, a lunch&coffee shop with the most delicious cakes. The room had airco, minifridge, desk, comfortable beds, and a good, functional private bathroom with hot water. Having stayed in other places in the city of S. Tomé, I really appreciated the cleanliness and quietness of the hotel. A heads up to the manager and all the other staff: this is what one would call excellent, reliable "service with a smile". They went out of their way to help with anything that came up (arranging for transportation, exchanging money, etc.) and were always available for a friendly chat.
I enjoyed everything, but I would like to have seen a bit more local fruit or other local products, like jelly, in the breakfast options.
