Nestled within the exclusive, private Sportsman Park Campground & Boat Slips on the all-sports, picturesque Hardy Dam, the River Retreat offers a spacious living area complete with a well-equipped RV style kitchen. This cozy getaway features one bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed, a private bathroom with a shower, and a full-size pullout sofa in the living room. We provide all the essentials you need, including linens, towels, cookware, dishes, and silverware—just pack your bags and pick up some groceries!

During your stay:
Take in the beautiful surroundings while sipping your morning coffee or enjoying an evening drink on the deck.
Experience camping, boating, fishing, hiking & mountian biking.
Enjoy direct access from the campground to Michigan’s renowned mountain biking trail, known as the, ‘Dragon.’ This 45 mile multi-use trail winds around Hardy Dam revealing some of Northern Michigan’s most breath-taking landscapes.
Relax on our private beach & enjoy evenings around the campfire.
