Quiet, scenic property, close to town

The mattress sags in the centre and the blankets are uncomfortably heavy. The breakfast service is slow and haphazard.

Comfortable, clean - staff were amazing

Breakfast was amazing! Full English breakfast in a very rustic and pretty showroom.

Breakfast & staff lovely

We were in the Jim Thorpe room & the European lady in the room opposite & her fellow workers overtook the kitchen area. It was awkward to get a cup of tea & coffee. They stopped talking when we came in... They were very loud talking & playing games till about 10.30pm ..... We would have dearly liked to have had our cup of tea & even to sit & read by the fire... But there was no room & we felt most unwelcome .. there also wasn't chairs to sit in as they took up all the room & all the chairs . The whole kitchen area was a mess with all their food spread everywhere .... This made our stay most unpleasant .. I would have thought if they were going to do this, then surely they could have have the other room also (our room - & we should have been placed elsewhere ) it was obviously a work event... .. would have made more sense...
