Unclean and in disrepair. Hosts unresponsive.
We had a whole range of issues in the property due to it being in a state of disrepair. Aside from the obvious holes in the flooring and battered furniture, we suffered missing light bulbs, broken blinds and the shower in one bathroom the main head doesn't work, along with countless other issues. Kitchen handles were falling off and loose and the whole house was incredibly noisy; anyone using the stairs at night woke up the whole party and the upstairs doors banged whenever another door was opened. This is particularly galling as we had to pay extra as a damage waiver to rent the property, which is ridiculous when the property was so inadequately maintained.
The property had not been cleaned properly (if at all) on arrival: the kitchen sink and oven were too dirty for us to consider using the cooking facilities and the cupboards and drawers were full of half eaten, stale old food. The floors downstairs were so filthy our socks turned black from walking around after removing shoes and there was hair found on the shower walls.
The listing itself is misleading. The property looks far larger and better maintained in the photos. It's not 3 bathrooms, it's 2.5 and the check out is listed as 11am but we were told 10am.
Communication was poor - our queries were not answered and instead we just received AI generated holding responses.
The property is not fit to be rented out and needs a full and proper audit before any more guests stay there.
It took months of escalation to get even the cleaning fee refunded. The property manager is unresponsive, and would not work with Booking.com, Avoid at all costs.
