The location is fantastic! 5 minutes from everywhere we wanted to go.
The building itself is not just historic it has not been updated. The entry is dingy, the hallway is storage for building materials, the kitchen was minimally stocked for 2 people (2 glasses/3 plate) and we were a party of 4. The water pressure was a trickle, the toilet didn’t flush correctly and there were no spare pillowcases or blankets.
This host is making a good rental rate and not up-keeping his rental property.

We stayed for a total of four nights in early September. As a family of two adults and two children, we found the accommodation extremely pleasant and comfortable. The house was fully equipped—everything from the hair dryer to the microwave worked perfectly. Our host, was also readily available and very helpful whenever needed. The location is incredible; I would say it is just 100 meters from the Royal Mile. It was truly a wonderful trip, and we highly recommend it to everyone.

The property is in a decent location where most tourist attractions are walkable. Lots of bars restaurants and decent coffee shops nearby.
The property could do with a bit of an upgrade. The lounge/kitchen area is satisfactory however the bathroom and bedrooms did need to be maintained to a better standard for the price you pay.
Also, don’t expect and communication from the owners /agency till about 2 hours before you check on time. As 2 ladies travelling I like to be organised and know exactly where I am heading. I had the area postcode from the listing that was about it even though I had tried messaging the previous week. That aside it is worth staying here purely for the location.

The location was very handy for what we planned to do
The maintenance was poor - kitchen cupboard door missing, intermittent hot water, mould in the bathroom, no plugs in either sink, decoration throughout shabby. Would have liked a hairdryer, cereal bowls
