Our second stay in less than a month, and we already can’t wait to return! The owners could not be more thoughtful, kind or attentive. When we had a small emergency with our dog, they didn’t hesitate to help and were there to support us almost immediately.
They really are the loveliest humans, and their care makes an already amazing place even more special. With its beautiful location and unique home, Harrington Glen Estate is somewhere we love coming back to.

This property is rare treasure. The history behind a house built around a decommissioned train carriage is just fantastic, and staying in it is just such a novelty and special treat. Overlooking the stunning Harrington Glen estate, with sunset views from the deck that rival any lookout in town. My son loved climbing the granite boulders, sleeping in the train, and exploring the expansive property. The hosts were responsive and accommodating to every need. The house is huge and comfortable and all the little things were considered, from coffee and tea to glad wrap for leftover meals. Just amazing! Will definitely book this one again. Fantastic location in Glen Aplin, and great views from the house deck. Fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms. Comfortable and clean.
The two train cabin bedrooms make noise at night, all night, which light sleepers, especially, will notice. Unfortunately, my trip coincided with a Donnybrook Nature Reserve bushfire, resulting in a lot of smoke in the air that infiltrated the house, requiring leaving the house on the last night stay, to seek cleaner air in Stanthorpe, and an unforeseen additional accommodation cost at a motor inn. But that's the uncertainty of travel, and not the house owner's fault.
