We had a great time during our stay. The host was amazing, the breakfast exceptional and he told us a lot of interesting information about Albanian history. He speaks very good English, and thanks to him, our stay was excellent.
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Korçë. The location is very convenient, close to the city center, and there is always a parking space available in front of the hotel.
The hotel is family-run, which gives it a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. We were sorry that we had booked only one night during our trip to Berat, as we would have loved to stay longer. It was definitely worth it!

The proprietor is a wonderful, caring man who keeps an immaculate hotel. Breakfast is a treat. It is full of local products that are simply delicious. If you have a chance to try the plum preserves, don't pass it up.
The rooms have charm and are very comfortable. The beautiful wood furniture was built by the owner. Our room had two comfortable chairs in addition to the bed.
Location wise, Hotel Velar can't be beat. It is steps from three markets, blocks from great restaurants and parks, and a decent walk from the cathedral, the observation tower, and the Korçë Beer factory. (Note: no brewery tours on Sunday)
Overall, this is a great place to base your exploration of Korçë.
