Apartments Romano is a wonderful apartment and would definitely request it again if we're to come back to Dubrovnik.
First, the apartment is extremely comfortable. 2 very nice sized bedrooms and 2 excellent bathrooms. The kitchen is very functional, and the coffee machine worked great every morning. The water, juice, and a few beers in the fridge were a great touch when we arrived.
Second, the location couldn't be better. The view from the balcony is lovely, and the 5 minute walk to the town gates is very convenient. Just a small note to folks with bad knees...there are about 40 steps from the gate to the apartment but they're pretty wide and actually quite doable. Similar to the town gate, you can walk down the stairs and turn left to go to Banje Beach. It's a lovely city beach with good facilities (restaurant, bathroom, loungers, etc.).
Lastly, communication with Romano was quick and easy, and everything was exactly as communicated. His parents were there to meet us with a wonderful smile and warm welcome, and provided any support we needed (luckily we didn't need anything, but it's nice knowing someone who cares is very close by).
There's nothing negative that can be said about this apartment. We had a wonderful time in Dubrovnik and this apartment is one of the reasons. Make sure to stay here if you can.

This place is a total gem. It's literally a 5 minute walk down into the old town and maybe a bit longer back up with the steps, but completely manageable. The view from the balcony is excellent, a real highlight of the stay. We were met by Dubo, who is very friendly. Apartment is a great size, enough room to stay very comfortably. AC works wonders. Bathrooms (and other spaces) were clean. Not much more to add! We really enjoyed it.
I would advise bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper and staying in the second bedroom - there's a palm tree that brushes up against the wall which you can hear inside.

Very nice appartment with easy outdoor parking and a nice panoramatic view of the city centre. Host is cordial, precise, helpful and very nice personality. It is within walking distance (10 min down and 15 min back up) to city wall.
Property is perfect. However, Dubrovnik itself is overpriced and crowded. Overturism is a big issue.

It has stunning views of the old city, walls, and sea from a sheltered outdoor balcony. The apartment is bigger than we expected, great layout, modern, and clean. Dubo and Astrid clearly care for this apartment and went well beyond our expectations to make our stay enjoyable! Convenient but quiet location - the nearest steps go right to Ploce Gate.
