It said self catering but there' is no oven and very few bowls, wine glasses etc.
More facilities in the kitchen. We were lucky no one else wanted to use the kitchen as it's very small.

Beautiful grand old building. My room was huge with a high ceiling, very old furniture and paintings and a view overlooking the pool. Was able to take my dog too! Great value. Just lovely!
The self check in, for me, was extremely frustrating and basically I couldn’t do it( maybe it’s me!). Fortunately there was a lovely gentleman, a member of staff who helped me and also the couple after me.

The rooms and facilities looked nice
This facility is more about form over function. The room looked nice but was badly designed functionally. The bathroom and shower especially were pretty but awkward to use. The glass partition in the shower was too small and so water went all over the bathroom floor when showering. There was nowhere to hang a towel or put my clothes while showering. The fridge in the room was too small and sat on the floor and so it was difficult to see inside. The fridge was turned off when I arrived and so I turned it on and put some food in the only tray in the fridge. During my stay and overnight the tiny freezer became covered in ice and then self defrosted and the water dripped down onto the tray and contaminated my food and so I had to throw it away. In the morning it was not clear if the breakfast was for anyone or only selected guests and the breakfast area was dirty from prior guests. This is mainly a hotel to service the attached event and function facilities and so on the date that I stayed there were a lot of people attending a function which clogged the carpark and they played very loud music which I found disturbing.
