Alles. En vooral geen stoffen zetels, geen tapijt,...
Daar heb ik een hekel aan. Maar hier was daar echt aan gedacht. Zowel binnen als buiten op het terras.

The apartment itself is very nice. It's located approximately 30min away from the Alicante city center. The apartment is large, has amazing terrace, very well equipped, comfortable. We visited end of October and it was amazing, very quiet around, there were literally not many people around even on the streets in the area of Areales del Sol.
The late checkin fee. I must admit that its stated on the welcome message from the hotel that there is a late check-in fee, but I see it high and perhaps a bit discouraging for people visiting. It says that from 21:00 until 00:00 the fee is 20eur, after midnight it's 50eur. We were supposed to arrive at around 22:00, but our flight was delayed and we arrived to the apartment at 00:04. The host made us pay 50EUR saying how usually they wouldn't even accept anyone after midnight, because the office is closed :/ that's not the best approach. We tried to negotiate to at least 30EUR with no luck. The host tries to be nice and welcoming, but it feels a bit dishonest. We kept asking about keeping our bags after checkout time somewhere, but were always getting unclear messages. Like that they don't have luggage room, but they will try to arrange. Then, after arrival we were told that if there isn't last minute booking for our last day, we would be able to keep the apartment longer. When asked day before, I only got an answer that they still can get last minute booking and we can't keep it longer, unless we pay for an extra night. Just pass one clear information from the start and don't give false hopes. I also see the deposit very high. It's 500EUR. When I asked to meet someone on the departure to check the apartment and sign a document for me that everything is ok, they refused to meet. Ok, I got my deposit back in full, but still doesn't convince me such approach. Last, but not least we didn't like the way our request for quilts was handled. After the first night, we felt cold at night and asked for quilts. We were told that there is a quilt available for everyone in the wardrobes, which was true. However, the quilts were dirty, with no covers.

Superb host. Most helpful at all times. Stunning beach on the doorstep with great sand and shallow sea waters. Lovely bar/ restaurant called La Milla by the complex.
Alicante Old Town is approx 15 mins Uber away for €18-22 each way but well worth a visit.
Plenty of nice restaurants within 15-20 min slow walk along an amazing promenade.
Very local feel about the suburb which we love - trying to practice our pigeon Spanish! Most can speak plenty of English though.
The pool rules made things not overly kid friendly (we are a family with a 15 and 12 year old). They are old enough to understand that no balls are allowed and no inflatables, but younger kids may struggle!
The patio is south west facing so great for the sun. Great facilities on the patio. The adjacent road can be busy and noisy at times.
