Unfortunate stay at Gandia
I think that the only thing we can say that we “liked” was that it was clean.
We stayed at this rental property for the weekend through Booking.com. I’m not normally someone who leaves negative reviews, but unfortunately this was a very disappointing experience.
The flat had a strong smell of dampness and poor ventilation from the moment we arrived. It felt humid, stuffy, and uncomfortably hot throughout our stay. Although air conditioning units were installed, they were extremely noisy, making it impossible to sleep with them running at night.
There were also several practical issues that made the stay even more frustrating. We booked and paid for four guests, yet only two towels were provided. In addition, the microwave appeared to give off electrical shocks when touched while barefoot, which is a serious safety concern that should be addressed immediately. Finally, parking was an ongoing problem, as it was virtually impossible to find a parking space anywhere near the property, making arrivals and departures unnecessarily difficult.
The TV was set entirely in Chinese, which made it difficult to use. More concerning was the staircase connecting the ground floor to the bathrooms and bedrooms. It was steep and potentially dangerous, especially as it had to be used frequently throughout the stay.
Overall, the property did not meet our expectations, and the issues with humidity, noise, and safety significantly affected our comfort and enjoyment of the weekend.
