We loved the location. It was a short walk to the beach. We could hear the ocean from the house and the yard.
The house was very private. We loved the fire pit in the backyard. We enjoyed the wildlife that walked through the yard. The kitchen was nice and we enjoyed home-made meals.
My daughter slept in the middle bedroom, in a queen bed, and she said the mattress was uncomfortable. After the first night she slept in one of the twin beds in the first bedroom and she said the mattress was more comfortable.
This incident didn't really bother us, and it wasn't a bad experience for us, but I think the owners should know about it. On the last night at the house, we walked on the walkway in the backyard to the firepit. While walking I noticed that the water tank was leaking water from the top of the tank. Water was running down the side of the tank, pooling on the cement pad under the water tank and running onto the ground by the garage. We spent about a half hour calling, (bad cell service) and texting the phone numbers left in case of house problems. I got a reply back that someone would come by the next morning to check the water tank. Friday morning a man showed up to check the water tank. I took him out to the tank and told him what I had seen the previous night. The tank was no longer leaking, but he acted like he didn't believe me until I showed him the pictures I had taken the night before. Then he informed me that he had gotten into trouble with his boss because of my phone call. He had recently serviced the water tank and had not replaced the floats that shut off the well. He seemed to think the problem was no big deal and I shouldn't have called and gotten him into trouble. It was no big deal for us, but it could have been a big deal for the owners if the tank continued to leak and the well pump continued to run. The garage foundation could have been damaged from the water. If that was my house, I would find a new company to service my well, water tank, and well pump.
