The property is located very conveniently to a public beach access with nice restrooms, sinks, outdoor showers, and a "recycling" bin for beach toys and chairs where people can leave items they no longer want and are free to take/use.
Regarding Big Fish Rentals, I booked the reservation on a Tuesday and realized as soon as I got my confirmation that I had selected Thursday instead of Friday as the start date for my stay which was a mistake. I immediately selected to update my reservation and was told I would receive a response within 48 hours. I then received an email the next day stating that they had received my request but "the property hasn't responded to your request yet, but you can call them directly" so I left a VM. I never received any response to that request and was charged for the extra day. I recognize I made the initial mistake but attempted to rectify it immediately and never received a response. I would not have been upset if the answer was no so long as I was communicated with. I also don't know what might have happened if we had actually had an issue that needed to be addressed, does anyone actually monitor those communications?
As far as the property is concerned, the floors did not appear to have been mopped in some time. Walking around without slides or shoes left us with dirty feet or socks. It wasn't sand, our feet turned brown like we'd been walking on tarmac. The listing says that you will have a starter selection of usable items but the bottle of laundry detergent was completely empty and there was a packet of automatic dish washing detergent on the counter but there is no dishwasher. The bedroom has a wall of paneling that is peeling and needs to be addressed but then you realize why they ask you to run the humidifier for your whole stay.
