We couldn’t stay there was nowhere to sleep

Our stay was disappointing due to the apartment not being cleaned on arrival, multiple maintenance and cleanliness issue

Location

Our stay did not meet expectations. We arrived at the advertised check-in time and found that the apartment had not yet been cleaned. The cleaner then arrived and entered without knocking, which meant we had to left while the apartment was being cleaned. We were later offered a late checkout, but after this experience we preferred to leave as soon as possible. The apartment was also in poor condition. The table in the kitchen was broken, there were items left behind by previous guests, the TV in one bedroom was not usable because the buttons did not work, the shower in one en-suite had very low water pressure, and the toilet in the same bathroom did not flush properly. Overall, the apartment appeared dirty, dated, and not well maintained. After checkout, we reported these issues. It took several follow-ups before we received a response, and the only resolution offered was 40% off a future stay. As we would not choose to return, this offer was not relevant to us. Overall, the property fell below the standard we expected. Given the cleanliness issues, maintenance problems, and limited customer service response, we would not recommend staying here.

HORRIFIC - Avoid like the plague

Nothing at all.

Initially couldn't even find the key as the key box had been ripped off the wall. Tried calling provider but no answer. As a lone female in an unfamiliar city in the evening this was not a great position to be in. After hunting round the communal area I found the key box left on a shelf where anyone could've picked it up & taken it and left anyone stranded. There was no hot water, I called countless times and text the number again and again and no response for hours until it was too late and I had an ice cold shower after trying everything with the boiler, waiting for the water to run etc. Place was filthy, food remnants all over the dining table. There was also hairs all over the bed so obviously hadn't been washed since the last stay- gross?! It was such an uncomfortable experience but I had no choice being 5 hours away from home with nowhere else to stay. Both headboards were falling apart and crumbling onto the bed and the mattress's were like sleeping on a rock. None of the TV's actually plug in as the cables don't reach and no extension cables anywhere so you cant even watch TV?? So a nice relaxing evening is certainly not on the cards. The bathrooms were both filthy and there was the last persons belongings just left in there. The toilet roll holders were broken off the wall just on the floor - just so badly kept and clearly unmonitored. Also don't expect a good night sleep... doors slamming all night, people shouting and jeering throughout the apartments. I understand being City centre there will be noise outside which was fine, but inside apartments. I have raised this with them over a month ago and still continuously chasing for a refund and told I will hear in 24 hours, never heard back and now they're not responding at all. After speaking to booking.com they advise the host declined my refund so cant refund me. Given this is a service arranged by Booking.
