A do it yourself breakfast, so we had exactly what we wanted. A friendly welcome and a very relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely sized room and bathroom. Comfortable bed, tea and coffee making, welcoming friendly host. Off street parking for very small car.
Net curtain design didn't fully cover the window and exposed me to anyone walking past the property and the seating area right outside my window. There was a blind but who wants a blind down in the daytime in the summer?
The room was downstairs and unfortunately I could every noise and rattle coming from the kitchen. I could also hear the very loud radio even with my bedroom door shut! I had to find someone to ask for it to be turned down twice, the first time no one was around so I turned it down myself. But the next day the same problem. It could have been helped by the host closing the kitchen door. Noise from hosts isn't something ive experienced before and I've travelled all over the UK. Perhaps more consideration for paying guests over hosts personal needs could be taken on board?
