Quality Aparthotel Chalon-sur-Saône Gare

Studio bien ainsi qu emplacement mais quelle surprise de constater que l appartement est dans une résidence senior avec personnes âgées Pas grave pour nous mais il faudrait le mentionner ds descriptif !!!!!!

Studio simple , pas de deco et manque de vaisselle

A lovely clean apartment with a good kitchen area and a comfortable bed, situated in a handy location only 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and functional. ‘Clean and functional’ indeed, but it lacked ‘soul’. The apartment is in fact located within a ‘home for the elderly’. We should have paid more attention to the elderly lady being carried on a stretcher into the building by an ambulance crew! The dining area was modern, spotlessly clean and functional, and the menu choices for the residents looked inviting. The breakfast for ‘hotel’ guests was ‘functional’. Car parking was outside on the street; you have to pay during ‘working hrs’ but it's free between 12 and 2pm, and between 5pm and 9am. I was left wondering if this was how a slightly confused person felt, being escorted into a clean, safe environment by lovely smiling staff trying to put me at ease, in a language I didnt understand. I gained some insight into how my parents ( in their late 80’s) feel about the prospect of having to leave their home to go into a residential care facility! It’s hard to fault the accommodation, and on many levels it must be nice to integrate visitors into the care home for short periods, but I was left with a slight feeling of despair at the prospect of needing to move into a similar facility as I get older!

The ‘lounge/kitchen area had just two stiff chairs to sit in; not at all relaxing. It loooked and felt like a good, new hospital facility, trying to look homely but failing. As a retired couple of hospital consultants, it felt too much like the discharge lounge...

Séjours en maison pour seniors , cadre difficile, chambre au 3 ème étage pas de climatisation, pas de volets a toutes les fenêtres, on sent bien l'odeur de la maison médicalisée , salle de bain sans pour voir rien pose de nos affaires .
