Worst experience

Only plus was the contact from the managing company who tried to sort out the issues.

ISSUES THAT KILLED THE WEEKEND: 1. Key access instructions out of date. 2. Key boxes worn/difficult to access. 3. Kitchen cleaning not completed. Used cleaning gloves on work surface. Oven fittings in cleaning bag on top of hob. Empty bottle of oven cleaning fluid on work top. Oven inner glass door left in sink. 4. Hairdryer box, but no hair dryer. 5. Glass panel from one shower propped against bathroom wall - safety issue. 6. Toilet in main bedroom blocked. Obviously a known problem as toilet brush and 2 different plungers next to toilet. 7. Shower pressure in 2nd floor en suite non existent. 8. Advised a £35 surcharge for a pet, which fine, but then increased to £60. That's quite hefty and if as the company said it was due to a change 'monrhs ago' the mistake in the price shouldn't have happened. 9. Someone did come around to clean the kitchen whilst we were out, but no-one advised us beforehand. That's not on. GENERAL CRITICISMS: 1. Not clear from the details that access is via a gate in the alley behind the shops. Alley unlit and littered with beer cans and drink bottles. Nice. 2. Once in the secured 'garden' access to the appartment was via metal fire escape style steps. Not great if remotely disabled. 3. The garden area itself seems to act as a yard for the cafe beneath the apartment and was also unlit. Watch out for the step half way along! 4. Couldn't re-open the key box and had to message company with hiding place for key. 5. Flooring in one bathroon lifting. 6. Some ceiling lights flickering/not working. 7. Natural light in lounge minimal (no windows, just door glazing. 8. Letter left (to owner?) that a debt recovery company had been appointed to recover o/s vodafone bill. Don't want to see that. 9. Some tv channels not available as psyment details needed renewing. 10. Generally a feeling that as little as possible had been spent on decor and utensils.

The apartment was very clean, very well organized, and very comfortable. The owners' hospitality was fantastic; they were always attentive to anything we needed. The location is great, not only because it is close to the hospital, university, and downtown, but also because just 1 minute away there is a very large and beautiful park where you can walk and enjoy yourself. I recommend it without any doubt, it has been an incredible stay.

The apartment was very clean, very well organized, and very comfortable. The owners' hospitality was fantastic; they were always attentive to anything we needed. The location is great, not only because it is close to the hospital, university, and downtown, but also because just 1 minute away there is a very large and beautiful park where you can walk and enjoy yourself. I recommend it without any doubt, it has been an incredible stay.
