The Space:
Find relaxation and recreation alike at this inviting condo in the center of Crystal Mountain Resort, where you'll be a few minutes' walk from the ski lifts, the spa, several restaurants, and the clubhouse at the neighboring golf course. Come summer or winter, this ground-floor condo is close to every activity in Crystal Mountain and will welcome you home each afternoon with 700 square feet of comfortable living space, a fully equipped kitchen, and a wood-burning fireplace to gather around in the evenings. What's nearby: This ground-floor condo sits alongside the third fairway of the Betsie Valley Golf Course, right in the heart of Crystal Mountain Resort. Walk less than a quarter-mile to reach the base of the lifts, and spend winter days skiing on 58 downhill slopes across 102 acres. Come summertime, you can tee off at the adjacent Betsie Valley Golf Course, go swimming or paint-balling, or spend your days exploring the gorgeous shores of Lake Michigan, with Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore only 30 miles north. Convenient location for skiing at Crystal Mountain. Comfortable but a little outdated. Did not provide a fire log or coffee and filters for the pot. We had to search for extra blankets as they were not all in the closet. Found some in a trunk and some on the lower shelf of the corner table. All the kitchen plates, cups, mugs and silverware had a rough gritty residue on them. Showerhead needs to be replaced and upgraded. Tub did not drain well.

The door lock is a bit lacking. The code wouldn't work. Had to call and they cave me the code to the key box. The hair dryer didn't work, never got a replacement. Crystal mountain is fabulous the unit just needs a bit of attention.

There were many good things about this condo. Location was great, the entry was perfect for snowy boots, parking was easy and close, there were plenty of hooks near the entry for coats, and the space was sufficient for two adults and two kids. There were also a number of maintenance issues that need to be addressed. A few: the plumbing in the kitchen and tub were problematic...very slow to drain, scale build up on the showerhead was unsightly, the kitchen faucet sprayed laterally if fully open, the dishwasher desperately needs to be replaced (we ran it three times and it did not clean well), the microwave was wobbly, one of the window blinds didn't have a cord to raise it(which was sad because the snowy view is beautiful), the murphy bed's box spring was tattered and the area behind it was dirty, and the upholstered chair near the couch had a large hole in the fabric. I messaged asking to clarify about the pool "access" and firewood, and no one responded until after we checked out. (On the app, an auto message read, "If anything comes up during your stay, we're just a message away.") Note: The pool or hot tub cost at least 15/person and no firewood is provided for the fireplace. The firewood thing was frustrating because we saw an employee carrying a Duraflame log to the condo next to ours. To be fair, none of these were major, but collectively they did negatively impacted our experience. If these maintenance issues are correctly, the condo would be great.
