The rooms at Midway Motel appear to have all been remodeled. There was still a film cover on the TV and fridge. The mattress appeared to be brand new and was SUPER comfortable. The shower was spacious and the room was very clean. The lighting in the room was lovely, and the room had been updated with USB ports, etc. Very nice room!
The bathroom door didn't close (it looked like they are still doing work in the rooms), the refrigerator was falling off of the shelf they had it on (it was too large with the feet on it, so it was tipping forward--my husband wedged something under it to stable it a bit), and there were cigarette burns on the comforter (pretty sure I booked a non-smoking room, however, there was an ashtray in the room, but it did NOT smell like cigarette smoke at all). Oh, and we had to pay a $10 deposit for the room key that was returned upon checking out. The main thing we didn't care for was the area--it was a little sketchy (other patrons of the motel were sitting outside their rooms smoking and drinking).
