Horrendous. Go anywhere else but here. The Red Lion in Newbrough know exactly how to do it.

The location is lovely, next to the station and bridge across the Tyne. Cenotaph View is a stupid name (used only because there is a small war memorial opposite, what town doesn't have one). Mill House Farm is perfectly acceptable as a name. No breakfast available, and given the only shop that might sell any food opens at 10am, this is annoying. The communal hallway smelled horrible.Any cursory look at another facility in Northumberland would show the owner how to do every item better.

Our downstairs room was shabby, ugly, mismatched cheap furniture.Bare walls and cheap flooring that ruined a lovely stone farmhouse building. The sheets were blue (ish), not white high quality which everyone expects these days. They smelt horrible which I am assuming is the choice of detergent. The bathroom was so horrible my husband refused to brush his teeth. There was an old shower with a plastic side on to a wet room floor. No toilet roll holder and no where to hang our (dark) towels.
