Located right by the ocean, you'll be glad you chose this vacation rental for your next trip! Placed in the coveted Monterey Dunes Colony, take advantage of this incredible opportunity to own your slice of the California Coastline along the exceptionally picturesque Monterey Bay. Check out the Salinas River State Beach while you're here, so pack some sunscreen and a bathing suit for a dip in the serene waters or pitch up an umbrella in the sand and read a good book under its shade. Moss Landing State Wildlife Area is six miles away, where you'll have an array of gorgeous wildlife to gaze out at and admire. If you're lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of the migratory birds that land on the shore!
Inside the home, you'll immediately notice the high vaulted ceilings in the spacious living area decorated with lovely paintings, a bright chandelier overhead, and comfortable furnishings. Step out into the back and sit down on the sectional couch and lay your head down on one of its crimson pillows for a power nap. The beach is within walking distance, where you can hear the sound of the waves crashing in peacefulness. Use the full kitchen and its stainless steel appliances for an all-out dinner later in the evening! The electric fireplace will add ambience with a gorgeous view directly from the comfort of your chairs near the windows. You'll also have on-site activities to participate in, such as tennis courts, bocce ball, pickleball, pool, spa, and volleyball court.

We did not have any correspondence with the host but the staff at Vacasa was helpful (or maybe it was Vrbo). To be honest, I still don't understand the overlap between Vacasa and Vrbo on this listing and truth be told, I found it very confusing. Neverthless, the house was wonderful! The location was exactly what we had hoped. The views to die for. The house was clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have a little "coffee starter kit" or something so we didn't have run out right away. The listing doesn't mention what KIND of coffee pot they have or if there was even going to be coffee there so we had to see for ourselves before going to the grocery store. There was a few half used bags of coffee and filters someone else clearly left, but a few basics would go a long way (including olive oil for cooking, sugar and coffee, etc.) Otherwise, it was amazing. I'll be returning for sure!

Great place to stay if you’re golfing or visiting the Monterey Carmel area. Great views and steps to the beach. Spacious and comfortable.

Plus:Location & view—spectacular; well-stocked kitchen in terms of dishes, pots, pans; good supply of extra blankets Minus:• Vacasa property management was the most negative aspect of the rental. We will never rent property managed by Vacasa again. (See below.)• Lighting –cold, blue LED not warm or inviting. Kitchen lighting insufficient.• Seating – plentiful, but the large sectional sofa is old, saggy & uncomfortable. • Wi-fi – slow & unreliable, which made communication with Vacasa & anything else impossible. • Bare minimum amenities • Property profile lists 2 bedrooms with King beds but only one had a King.• In general décor feels industrial & overly curated.Vacasa is not an effective property manager:• Communications are generic, AI-generated, unhelpful & misleading. • Promises of possible early check-in or later check-out but that’s bogus. They made no attempt to advise on those possibilities, despite multiple requests. That said, even though when we arrived 2 hours earlier than official check-in, the rental was empty, clean & available. • Officially 4pm check-in & 10am check-out is stingy compared with most vacation rentals.• Renters are asked to obtain all information online, but the horrible Wi-fi made that impossible.• No written instructions for anything in the unit – all online! We spent 24 hours cold & uncomfortable before we figured out how to turn on the heat. The “fireplace” does not generate heat; it's for show only.
