The house is spacious and quiet, featuring a stunning view and vast grounds, and is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Its location is very convenient for trips to both downtown Vancouver and nearby natural areas. A beach and a large park with a lighthouse are close by.
I would recommend supplementing the listing with detailed instructions on how to use all the amenities (including the hot tub and the two barbecue areas), as well as adding a map of the property and the surrounding area.

The property grounds were beautiful; walking if felt like you were in a private botanical garden. The house was large, had a lot of character and artistic elements in decor and furniture. The home is in a great location for enjoying downtown Vancouver, West Vancouver and accessing the Sea-to-Sky highway to Whistler.
The back patio was under renovation when we arrived. As it was the main access point from the house to the backyard it was upsetting every time we stepped outside to look at the concrete base and boxes of materials/debris piled up, due to the high price we paid for a "luxe coastal retreat" experience. There were two small chairs and a Rubbermaid step stool we used as a side table if we sat on the patio for a better view of the water. There was no safe step from the one set of doors to the patio so those doors could not be used. The hot tub did not appear or smell healthy. I requested a cleaning and water testing but after 4 requests a maintenance person still never arrived. As the title of the listing includes great views and a hot tub we were disappointed we couldn't enjoy the hot tub while looking over the water as we anticipated when we rented. The inside of the home was beautifully decorated but we had to move a chair under a chandelier so we would not hit our head as it was hanging without a table below. There was a crib in the second bedroom that became an obstacle to access the washroom as I needed to move it away from the window to use a fan for air flow (no air conditioning). Lastly, I found this property on another rental platform for significantly less money after I booked. Booking.com would not honour their price match guarantee because the dates I booked with Booking.com were blacked out on the other site because I already had the property booked (though Booking.com). I found the same days Wednesday -Sunday and in the same month of August but that was not sufficient. Overall I paid substantially more for this property than I should have and the property (listed as a new property) was not ready for guests. I brought these concerns forward to Artin Properties a month ago and have still not received a response about a partial refund as the property was not rented as represented in the listing.
