About this cabin rental
My wife and I recently built this riverfront cabin next door to our home. It has a secluded loft bedroom with a queen bed. It has fantastic river views but no river access. There is public river access down the street. River Cottage is a place for lovers, for dreamers, for those looking to find the place within where the noise quiets and the peace of the river can enter, smoothing out the bustle of every day living. Perched 20 ft above the banks of the Washougal River, Annie's River Cottage is a cozy retreat built just for two that's secluded enough to feel miles away from everything, yet not so far that the amenities of metropolitan living are out of reach.
This charming cabin overlooking the beautiful Washougal River offers a cozy retreat for guests seeking a peaceful getaway. We have just completed a total high quality remodel. It's furnished with beautiful hand painted furniture from Mexico, cozy armchairs in front of the fireplace and a queen-sized bed dressed with fluffy comforters and a mountain of pillows. and boasts a brand-new kitchen equipped with all the amenities. Whether you’re unwinding after a day of adventure or simply enjoying quiet moments indoors, this enjoyable cabin provides a welcoming atmosphere. We're happy to assist with any questions or needs during your stay.
And there's all the beauty of the Cascades mountains everywhere you look. In the autumn, salmon fight their way upstream, seeing to fly over the rocks and waterfalls. As the river level rises in the fall, a small pond develops below the cabin site where salmon lay their eggs, returning year after year to the place of their beginnings. Upriver Dougan Falls with river access is within walking distance from the cabin where the Washougal flows over the rocks into fast moving eddies that settle into quiet pools. Downriver additional river access also within walking distance is a nice swimming hole.
