STAY Newport proudly presents Better Together- From its Portsmouth hillside, this coastal cottage opens to a rare sweep of Narragansett Bay’s East Passage, from Prudence Island to Bristol Harbor and the red barns at Carnegie Abbey. The 4,260-square-foot home has a classic New England profile, with three levels of classic seaside interiors and nearly equal outdoor living space. A screened main deck frames sunset dinners, while the lower level has a native stone fireplace beside the pool table with surround A/V. While outdoor space has a built-in grilling station and hot tub.



The Space:

The main level brings the water into daily view without making the house feel overly formal. The kitchen and dining area connect with the bay-facing living room, giving guests an easy central place for meals, planning the day, or returning from time on the coast. Light interiors keep the seaside character present throughout the home, while traditional New England detailing gives the cottage its sense of place.



The bedroom layout works especially well for larger groups because it spreads sleeping space across the home. A queen suite on the lower walkout level sits near the entertainment area, while the ground level king suite offers privacy on the main living floor. Upstairs, another queen suite is joined by two queen bedrooms with single trundles and a four-single bedroom for flexible group sleeping.

The fire pit seats up to 10 for evenings overlooking the bay, and a private hot tub adds a dedicated space for relaxation after a day of exploring or entertaining.

Getting Around:

Getting around is easy and enjoyable. The home is located in a residential area where you can walk, bike, ride a scooter, or rent a golf cart to explore. The islands are relatively small, and with a 25 mph speed limit on most streets, the area stays safe, family-friendly, and relaxed.



Other Things to Note:

We provide dedicated driveway parking for up to 4 vehicles and 3 on the street directly in front of the home. To avoid any issues, kindly use only these areas for parking and do not inconvenience the neighbors. The garage is not available for parking.
