About this chalet rental
Located in the quiet residential area of L’Arquet in Olocau, the house combines the charm of a natural environment with outdoor spaces designed to enjoy every moment: a covered terrace, a grassy garden, traditional rodeno stone paved areas, a wood-fired paella/barbecue area, and cozy outdoor spots for sharing meals, long conversations, and unforgettable sunsets. The 600 m² plot offers serenity in a peaceful rural setting.
This traditional Valencian villa was built 60 years ago and lovingly maintained to provide a comfortable stay. The interior is designed to be cozy and welcoming. Its spacious living-dining room, accommodating up to 9–10 guests, opens onto the terrace with views, creating an inviting sense of space and connection with the outdoors. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, and the house features 4 bedrooms, including an attic suite with a private bathroom and beautiful mountain views that add a special touch to the home.
Here, everything invites you to slow down. You can explore hiking trails of varying difficulty, discover historical landmarks like the Iberian settlement of El Puntal dels Llops, or stroll into the charming village of Olocau to find essential services and the authentic atmosphere of an inland Spanish town.
The house is also a perfect base for exploring Valencia city, its beaches, and other inland destinations, always returning to a peaceful natural sanctuary at the end of the day. Guests also have access to a community area with a swimming pool, fronton court, and multi-purpose sports pitch, subject to community rules and schedules (please note that we cannot accept responsibility for unforeseen closures or unavailability of these facilities).
Casa Puerta de la Calderona is ideal for those seeking more than just a place to stay: a tranquil haven to rest, share special moments, and enjoy an authentic Mediterranean experience surrounded by nature and warm light, with the city just a 30-minute drive away.
Everyone loves stargazing at night while lying on the grass—don't miss it! Sneak away from your companions to enjoy breakfast in the quiet backyard under the lemon tree with a good book. End your day with a barbecue with friends. Take an early morning hike along the trails of the Sierra Calderona. Explore the Iberian settlement of El Puntal dels Llops, climb up to Penyeta Roja, hike the route of the fountains or Les Macollades, or visit the Casa de la Senyoria... Take day trips to nearby rural towns like Chulilla (and its hanging bridges), Serra and Portaceli (with its Cistercian monastery and nature routes), or Llíria (along with its San Vicente natural park)...
