Even with regular professional cleaning and pest-control treatments, guests may occasionally encounter geckos, ants, mosquitoes, roaches, or other tropical insects during their stay.
Many classic Hawaiian properties also feature jalousie (louvered) windows, which are designed to allow the trade winds and natural airflow into the home rather than creating the completely sealed environment of a modern hotel or resort.
We take great care in maintaining and cleaning our properties, but the occasional presence of tropical insects is a natural part of island living and is not necessarily an indication of cleanliness or a lack of pest control.
